Water storage tanks distributed at Senapati District

Imphal, December 08 2019: 109 BN CRPF under the aegis of IGP Manipur and Nagaland sector conducted a civic action programme on 08/12/2019 at Senapati .

In this programme Water storage tanks were distributed to the marginalised section of society.

This programme was held with an objective to extend a friendly and helping hand to the residents of Senapati district.

Ng David Sha, Pastor PBCS and Mr..NBenjamin Tao EM, ADC Senapati graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.

Water storage tanks were distributed to the poor and needy persons of Senapati District in presence of dignitaries of local administration and Village Headman.

Commandant Vinod Kumar, Deputy Commandant Kiyam Rajiv Singh, organized the programme in befitting manner with an aim to connect with the people.

A cultural program was also organized on this occasion.

In his speech, Vinod Kumar, Commandant 109 BN thanked the Chief Guest Ng David Sha, Pastor PBCS and Mr N Benjamin Tao EM, ADC, Senapati , Guest of Honour for extending CRPF an opportunity to serve them and urged the local administration to fulfill the needs of the local people.

Vinod kumar, Commandant 109 Bn expressed his happiness in getting this opportunity to help the needy and marginalized sections of the society.

He stated that unit will continue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying such humanitarian activities.

He draws the attention of villagers by mentioning that fresh water sources are becoming scarce with the passage of time.

He further emphasised that considering the current climatic condition, preventive measures are required to be taken.

Rainwater harvesting is a sustainable process that helps in preserving rainwater for different purposes and for the future needs as well.

It is a method of collecting and storing rain water to be used for various purposes.

Vinod Kumar Commandant- 109 Bn , in his Speech said that it is need of the hour and our primary duty is to take care of needy persons of society and there smiles inspire us to do more and more for them.

In past, 109 Bn CRPF has constructed a Public convenience/toilet at Karong, Senapati, distributed sports items and student utility items to Thong Upper Primary School at Senapati , distributed sewing machine on 11th August to widows of Senapati, distributed solar lanterns to villagers of Senapati and Mao on 24th & 25th November 2019 and has carried many such civic action programme in last couple of years in Imphal west and Senapati District.

Village president of various villages and distinguished guests present on the occasion praised the concern of the unit Commandant for its virtuous affiliation.
