Men's Kho-Kho Tournament begins at MU

Imphal, December 28 2024: The Men's Kho-Kho Tournament organised jointly by the Fit India Campaign Committee and Fit India Club and the Department of PESS Manipur University in line with the Fit India Week celebration kicked off today at the Kho-Kho Court, Manipur University, Canchipur.

The opening match of the tournament organised with the technical support of the Manipur Amateur Kho-Kho Association saw team B of ASKKA, Sangaiyumpham outlast Manipur University by 24-12 points.

In the second match, team A of Imphal East beat LYPIC, Leimapokpam by 12-11 points before ASKKA, Awang Sekmai beat PESS, DM College of Science by 25-22 points to advance into the next stage.

The inaugural function was attended by Prof Gopal Kumar Niroula Chhetry, Dean of Agriculture Sciences; Prof Soibam Imoba, Dean, School of Humanities; Moirangthem Madhusudon; technical convenor KKFI; Dr Laishram Santosh, convenor, FICC and FIC, MU and Prof Laishram Thambal Singh, Head, Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, MU as dignitaries.
