Imphal, February 12 2020: World Meetei Convention 2020 will be held at Lamagram, Cachar in Assam from March 4 to 5 .

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, Pan Meetei Convention president, Heigrujam Nabashyam said Chief Minister N Biren Singh will attend the inauguration of the convention while Works Minister Biswajit will grace the closing day.

The convention will be jointly organised by Pan Meetei Convention and Assam Manipuri Progressive Front.

The World Meetei Convention was first held at Imphal and the second edition took placed at Silchar, he said adding that the convention aims at bringing closer the Manipuri diasporas and promoting indigenous culture.
