AR input helps police nab drug peddler

Imphal, September 06 2022: Based on intelligence from Keithelmanbi Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (South), Thoubal police foiled narcotics smuggling and apprehended one drug peddler from Khangabok in Thoubal district on Monday, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.

According to the PRO, a special search operation led to recovery of 11 soap cases of Heroin weighing 146 gram from a drug peddler travelling from Moreh towards Imphal.

The seized narcotics, assessed to be worth over Rs 70 lakh, and the drug peddler have been handed over to Thoubal police station for further investigation.
