KSO suspends blockade

The 7-day economic blockade imposed by Kuki Students' Organization (KSO) Sadar Hills has been suspended on Thursday evening after the state Government gave assurance on addressing the charter of demands in a meeting held at the office of Chief Minister.
The meeting was attended by Chief Minister O Ibobi; Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam; Commerce and Industries & Sericulture; Vety & Animal Husbandry Minister Govindas; PHED, labour and Employment Minister I Hemochandra; Health and Family Welfare Minister Phungjathang and IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip representing the State Government while KSO Sadar Hills was represented by a 5-member delegate led by President Thangminlen Kipgen.
After a marathon meeting lasting about an hour, the Chief Minister and his teams assured to fulfill the charter of demands laid down by the student body.
