Imphal, April 08 2015 : Sobita's death ritual .

The last death ritual of Sorokhaibam Sobita will be held on April 10 at 9 am at L Mani Goura Sangeet Academy.

Sorokhaibam Sobita, was one of the survivors of the Great June Uprising.

A press release issued by Khwai Nungseng Sinthalup's spokesperson appealed to all sections of people to attend the religious function organized by Clubs, CSOs, UCM, Meira Paibi and elderly persons, friends, relatives of Sorokhaibam Sobita and L Mani Goura Sangeet Akademy.

Death condoled .

IMPHAL, APR 8 (HNS): The Community Medicine Department, RIMS on Tuesday condoled on the sudden death of Ralkapthuom son Saikaplien, of Churachanpur who worked as a contractual Grade IV employee posted at RHTC, Bishnupur under RIMS.

The staff and students observed two minutes' silence in the presence of HOD Th Achouba for the peaceful rest of the departed soul in the heavenly abode.

Karam Meghajit .

Legislative Assembly Joint Secretray, Karam Meghajit has been given in-charge of Secretary Administration from April 1, with the retirement of Akoijam Tiken.

AMLUSUL new office bearers .

Apunba Manipur Lou-u Shing-u Lup elected new office bearers on April 5.The new elected members are Sh Shamu as President; N Budhachandra as Vice President; B Suresh Sharma as General Secretary; L Chaoba as Treasurer and S Subhas chandra as Joint Secretary while M Tomba and H Saratkumar as Advisors.

This was informed by AMLUSUL Secretary B Suresh.

Parents meet .

A one day parent and faculties meet of Class XII Students of NIELIT, Akampat will be held on April 10 at 2pm in their institute premises to discuss ways and means to improve the deteriorating academic activities of the students and asked the parents and guardians to attend the programme without fail.

This was informed by Academic Head Scientist-D T Gunendra.

United group against illegal occupants .

A united group will be formed by the residents of Loijing Loyasing village areas around Moijing CRPF Magazine .

The residents are concerned over the illegal land occupations (tribal and non-Manipuri) of the area.

The decision came after a mammoth public meeting at Moidangpok Khulen Public building held to discuss the issues and urge the authorities to intervene immediately, said a press release issued by New Keithelmanbi Development Association Secretary, Y Kunjeshwor.

Tri-monthly blood donation held .

A blood donation programme has been held on April 6 from 10am to 8pm at JNIMS Blood Bank & Transfusion office.

The programme was organized by Blood Bank & Transfusion JNIMS in coordination with Foundation For Living (FFL), Kyamgei Mamang Leikai, under the supervision of JNIMS Blood Bank & Transfusion in-charge Dr K Surjit.

The programme was held as a continuation of tri-monthly held blood donation programme, launched in October 2014; were individuals donate blood every three months.

Fifteen persons donated blood during the programme, said a press release issued by FFL President, Koijam Tomba.

'Ebudhau Pakhangba' .

A seminar on 'Ebudhau Pakhangba' in relation with Google Art Satellite creation eight-edged 'Star Septa' will be held on May 10 at 1 pm.

As informed by a press notification by Apokpa Research Centre (ARC) Secretary, Kameshwor Chanam, ARC invites interested persons, teachers and scholars to enroll their names by May 1.For further details individuals can contact ARC at 9856276960; 8014252768; 8118936193 .
