Imphal, August 29 2017: A total of 385 candidates have withdrawn their nominations today on the last day of withdrawal of nominations for the ensuing 5th General Panchayat election slated to be held on Oct 7 .

The candidates have withdrawn their candidatures from 14 Returning Officers, according to reports received from the State Election Commission .

27 Zilla Parishad Member candidates, 53 Pradhan candidates and 305 Ward Member candidates have withdrawn their candidatures.
