Pradhan threatens with bomb

Imphal, October 30 2009: Bomb threat to the pradhan was strongly protested by the residence of Lairenjam Meijarao today.

Miscreants last night deposited the bomb at the house of Lairenjam Meijarao gram pradhan, Sougrakpam Manihar last night.

Family member detected the bomb around midnight near the front door.

A team of Wangoi police station defused the bomb today.

In the sit-in protest staged by the members of the local clubs and meira paibis togethers, they demanded not to threaten to the person who is serving the people and efforting for the welfare of the people.

They also appealed not to threaten to individuals working for the welfare of the people and not to serve monetary demands from the funds mean for people's development.
