AR pays tributes to braveheart

Moreh, November 27 2024: Assam Rifles organized a poignant wreath-laying ceremony in Moreh, Tengnoupal District to honour Havildar Udbir Gurung (Late) of Assam Rifles today.

On 27 November 1962, Havildar Gurung made the ultimate sacrifice during the Indo-China War in the NEFA region (now Arunachal Pradesh), said a release issued by IGAR (South).

The ceremony began with wreath laying, followed by a motivational address highlighting the bravery and selflessness of the forces that serve the nation.

Over 200 Assam Rifles personnel participated in the ceremony, and paid tribute by laying wreaths and rendering a Guard of Honour, added the IGAR (S) .
