TMC shuts office indefinitely

Thoubal, November 27 2024: Thoubal Municipal Council (TMC) has stated that it will close its office indefinitely from November 27 onwards due to unbearable monetary demands levied on them by various organisations.

In a press release, the TMC stated that due to the prevailing crisis in the State for the past 18 months, the Government has failed to release funds on time and the TMC have not been able to collect the revenues.

In addition, the TMC is facing hardships in releasing the monthly salary of the daily wagers.

Therefore, the TMC has decided to shut its office indefinitely from today.
