Fire nearly guts RIMS Girls' Hostel

Imphal, August 17 2024: A fire incident originated from electric short circuit nearly gutted the OBC Girls' Hostel of RIMS on Friday night.

According to a press release by issued Manipur Fire Services Control Room, the 100-bedded OBC Girls' Hostel of RIMS nearly went up in flames after a fire broke out in one of the rooms due to an electric short circuit at around 9.33pm Friday.

However, a Manipur Fire Services team intervened in a timely manner and put off the flames, preventing any major damage.
