Imphal, July 01 2013: Tingkao Ragwang Chapriak Chabon Phom (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has expressed shock over the sudden demise of its President R Marulung at his Kakhulong residence yesterday and observed a two minute silence to honour the departed soul.

A press statement of TRC said, he was a leader of Rongmei community on various social and religious forums and a learned scholar who published many books to his credit.

He retired as Joint Secretary Govt of Manipur and was a recipient of Naharol Sahitya Award 2000 and Manipur Sahitya Kala Academy Award 1999-2000 .

His absence will remain void in our community.

TRC shared the pain and grief of the bereaved family and prayed for the peace of the departed soul at Heavenly abode of Haipou Tingkao Ragwang, the statement added.
