Raizan Baptist Church Fellowship lauds
Raizan Baptist Church Fellowship has extended gratitude to local MLA Victor Keishing for repairing Kamjong, Kangpat and Kongkan villages road.
The statement also lauded the MLA for extending medical aids to the villagers.
Free coaching class

Village Authority clarifies
Luangkao village authority has clarified that no incident of looting of 20 trucks happened at Luangkao area on NH-37.Saying that 7th IRB and Nungba police outpost are located nearby, the village authority urged the concerned not to spread such baseless rumours in future.
SHIPS' meet
Sadar Hills Private Schools' Association (SHIPS) will organise its annual athletics cum cultural meet on Oct 3 at John Calvin Academy, L Champhai village, Leimakhong.
Items for the cultural meet include group dance in cultural dress on the theme and group song competition in any language, according to a statement.
MPP slams
The Manipur People's Party (MPP) has strongly condemned the reported looting of drivers and helpers of trucks along Imphal-Jiribam highway in the night of Sept 24 .
In a statement, the MPP questioned whether the authority concerned could not enforce AFSPA against looters along National Highways and those who are up to break the integrity of the State.
It also lambasted the State Home department for the security lapse.
Free heart screening
A one-day free heart screening camp will be organised by Manipur Heart Foundation in association with Sky Hospital and Research Centre on Sept 29 at Sky Hospital, Porompat Branch to commemorate World Heart Day.
Free consultation, echo, ECG and medicines will be available in the free heart screening camp.
Power shutdown
There will be power shutdown of 11 KV Uripok feeder on Sept 28 for charging of new DTRs under R-APDRP (B).
Consumers of Uripok, Naoremthong areas will not get power supply on the day from 9 am to 5 pm, a statement informed.
HIV/AIDS awareness held
District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Imphal West organised HIV/AIDS awareness programme at Uchiwa Leirak Achouba community hall.
Dr S Gopal Singh, District AIDS Control Officer and other experts spoke on the occasion.
UCM urges
The United Committee Manipur (UCM) has urged the people of different commu-nities, students, civil society organisations, womenfolk and component bodies of UCM to take part at Langbal Heitha-Leitha to be held for 15 days starting September 28 at Kekrupat.
The ceremony will be held at 10 am daily to pay homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the June uprising in 2001, said a press release.
