Thoubal, August 25 2024: Soraisam Arpon, a Meitei lad born and brought up in Bangladesh has made the Meetei community and his birthplace proud by bagging the best police officer award of New York Police Department.

Born in Khunou Khun in Bangladesh, Arpon moved to the United States with his family at the age of 14 .

He is the only son of Soraisam Tarini and Soraisam ongbi Amala Devi.

Arpon's first language is Bangla and he can speak Manipuri apart from English and Hindi.
