Imphal, July 18 2012: Taking serious note of the abduction of a contractor from Nongdam Maning Leikai, the Tangkhul Katamnao Long, Imphal (TKLI) has strongly condemned the act of abducting the contractor who remains traceless till date.

Meanwhile, a statement issued by the TKLI has appealed the JAC against the abduction of the contractor to defer the proposed Imphal-Ukhrul road block from July 20 in the interest of the general public and peaceful coexistence.

Terming the abduction of Irungbam Irabanta as most inhumane and unfortunate, the TKLI has appealed one and all irrespective of creed, caste ir common identity to condemn the inhumane act while also demanding the immediate release of the contractor before the situation is blown out of proportion.
