Imphal, September 28 2009: Expressing surprise over the statement of UKLF published in some local dailies on September 28, UKLA (MC) has stated that it could not understand the motive behind UKLF has UKLA (MC) has not said or done anything against it so far.

In fact we considered UKLF to be mature organisation and never expected such unrevolutionary attitude from it, information and publicity secretary of UKLA (MC) Jamson Kuki said in a statement.

Jamson asserted that the case of Haojakhup Lupho and UKLA (MC) is purely a personal matter and no body is expected to interfere as it is not related to anyone nor to any group or clan.

''He is not our enemy and we are not his enemy as well.

It is neither related with UKLF nor with any other organisation.

So it is very unbecoming of UKLF to poke its nose into the affairs'', Jamson said.

He further said that in the present Kuki society it is totally wrong on the part of UKLF to think that it is the only chosen organisation to have full rights in saying or doing things for the interest of Kuki nation.

The attitude of UKLF shows that it is the only genuine organisation formed by the Kuki people united whereas others are born out of mud, Jamson said, adding that UKLF should recall how, when and where it was born.

''On top of that you have safe haven under the wing of NSCN (IM) much against the wishes of the Kuki public.

Hence you should be pointing finger at yourself first before pointing at others'', Jamson said.

'Organisation like UKLF may term us in any form they wish but we are not buying it since we are not interested in the game of throwing mud against each other in public.

We do not believe in quarrelling with anybody without any good reason.

But we do believe in respect and non-interference in the affairs of others.

We are an organisation with definite principle, goal, objective and programme for the cause of the Kuki nation'', Jamson said, adding that it is very unfortunate that UKLF's interest is in interfering in the affairs of others when their advise is not sought at all.

''Your press release shows that you have least idea about UKLA (MC) but keep in mind that we are not your enemy and we are always open to give you details of our organisation in case you are interested in knowing it'', Jamson said, making it clear to all that any type of baseless charges on UKLA (MC) would be like pouring water on duck's back having no effect at all.

''We will also never hesitate in inflicting any type of penalty to those who openly shows disrespect to UKLA (MC)'', Jamson warned.
