IDP dies of heart attack

Moirang, August 20 2024: An internally displaced person died of a suspected heart attack in a relief camp at Takmu Water Sports complex, Bishnupur district.

The deceased has been identified as Asem Inao (45) s/o late A Lukhoi.

Although Inao hailed from Mayang Imphal Kokchai, he was living at Thingkangphai, Churachandpur until the violent crisis broke out on May 3, 2023 .

Since the violence erupted, Asem Inao was living at the Takmu Water Sports complex relief camp.

According to a fellow IDP living in the same relief camp, Inao suddenly became unwell and he experienced breathing difficulty at around 10 am today.

As his condition deteriorated, Inao was rushed to CHC Moirang at around 10.30 am but the doctor declared that Inao was dead.

The doctor also opined that the most probable cause of Inao's death was heart attack.

Later, the body was taken to RIMS for post mortem.

Asem Inao is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
