Imphal, June 15 2024:
Candidates of MSPDCL and MSPCL recruitment examination 2019 stormed the Chief Minister's Bungalow over the delay in the declaration of the examination result, today.
They (the protesting candidates), however, were stopped at Nupi Lan Complex by police and allowed only some of them to enter the CM's Bungalow and submit their memorandum.
The memorandum was submitted to the Secretary of the Chief Minister.
In the memorandum, the candidates urged the Government to declare the examination result on or before June 30 .
Speaking to the media at Nupi Lan Complex after submitting the memorandum, Moramba, one of the candidates, said that the Government conducted the examination in 2019 to recruit 907 staff of eight different posts at MSPCL and MSPDCL.
Saying that lakhs of candidates appeared in the examination, he added that the Govt not declaring the result for a prolonged period is unjust.
Many candidates have become overage and they cannot apply for other jobs, he said while urging the Government to declare the result as soon as possible.
Moramba further said that the Government had assured to declare the result on many occasions but they failed to keep their word all these times.
Further stating that the CM assured to declare the result after the 18th Lok Sabha elections, he cautioned that there will be widespread protests if the Government doesn't declare the examination result on or before June 30 .
