Budding Manipur film actor Abhi Khundrakpam today donated rice and other essential commodities to flood hit villagers of Thoubal district today, our correspondent reports.
Maichou Taret Film Production team along with director Rakesh Moirangthem and members Anand Laimayum, Santiraj, Robert Leishangthem were part of the distribution drive conducted by the actor.
Meanwhile, National Health Mission, Manipur State Mission Director Dr O Ibomcha Singh along with SDO Kakching Th Charanjeet Singh conducted medical camps at flood affected villages of Kakching today.
Representatives of Lois Kakching, Kakching Municipal Council, BJP Manipur Pradesh State secretary M Rameshwar, 22 Assam Rifles, MU SC Students' Welfare Association and Sahitya Seva Samiti, Kakching and Manipur Police Housing Corporation EE Y Nillachandra also extended relief materials to flood victims of Kakching today.
Although flood waters are receding, more than ten houses are still submerged under water at Kakching.
Wabagai MLA Md Fajur Rahim has also commenced relief programmes for affected villages under his jurisdiction.
A team of Thoubal district Health Society is undertaking free medical check-ups at different parts of Thoubal, our correspondent reports.
Meanwhile Bishnunaha Youth Federation, Yairipok (BYFY) has extended gratitude to Wangkhem Kendra MLA K Meghachandra Singh, Yairipok Council Chairperson K Lupachandra for donating relief materials.
Situation remains grim at Keirak, Wabagai, Hiyanglam, Lamjao, Langmeidong, Komnao, Kakching Khunou, Wangoo, Nongmaikhong, Konuma and Laphupat Tera.
