Imphal, September 13: An individual who had been undergoing treatment of injuries he sustained in an accident that occurred last month at Joypur Khunou of Bishnupur district succumbed at a private medical centre in the wee hours today.

The victim namely Sabrina Ram (38) s/o Din Dayal of Kutupur in Bihar was among 26 passengers who sustained injuries in the said mishap which occurred on August 29 morning when the passenger bus (MN05/1111) veered off the road and rammed at a roadside tree.

The mishap had also claimed a woman passenger on the same day.

Family members claimed Sabrina's body after the post mortem at RIMS morgue today.

On the otherhand, a woman who had been undergoing treatment at RIMS Hospital after consuming insecticide failed to respond to medication and passed away this morning.

Identified as Ningombam (O) Lata Devi (38) w/o Biren of Phougakchao Ikhai under Moirang police station, the housewife was reportedly brought to RIMS Hospital on September 8 night.

In another incident, one S Rajesh alias Bulu (30) s/o Dhiren of Sagolband Takhellambam Leikai was electrocuted.

The individual was reportedly brought to RIMS Hospital at around 10.10 pm yesterday but was declared by the doctors as 'brought dead'.

The body has been claimed by family members on completion of post mortem today.

meanwhile, an elderly person with injuries on the head and legs has been admitted to Shija Hospital after he was hit by a four-wheeler at near Meitram Lamkhai at around 2 pm today.

The injured person identified as one Yensembam Mangi (78) of Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi was riding a bicycle when the four wheeler hit him.
