Imphal, December 10 2015:
People should always be wary of BJP as it is a formidable anti-secular force whose agenda are set by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), asserted Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam.
Speaking at a one-day political conference held today at Ningthoukhong Kha Mamang Multipurpose Indoor Stadium under the aegis of Bishnupur Block Youth Congress Committee, Gaikhangam compared BJP to a buffalo which can be driven to any direction by RSS and BJP has started unmasking its terrible face.
On the other hand, RSS is an organisation which is deadly opposed to secularism.
Notably, the conference was held on the theme 'Secularism: The force behind India' .
The agenda set by RSS based on a single religious faith is a challenge to the whole Nation.
BJP is not a party in which all communities can work together.
It is a party which has been threatening the integrity of the country, said Gaikhangam who is also the MPCC president.
There is no such thing as bad religion.
Everyone has the right to profess any religion of his/her choice.
If the word 'secularism' was not enshrined in the Constitution, India of today could have never existed, added Gaikhangam.
There are some individuals and political parties which have been challenging the Constitution.
In order to defeat the formidable campaign of anti-secularism, youth should have the ability to distinguish what is right and what is wrong, Gaikhangam exhorted.
The incumbent NDA Government led by the BJP has not yet formulated even a single new scheme/programme.
BJP's promise of 'better days' still remain elusive.
BJP is a party of hypocrites who stole people's mandate, said the Dy CM and added that it suffered humiliating defeats in Delhi and Bihar as people have started realizing the true colour of the party.
BJP would soon know the taste of being an Opposition party, Gaikhangam said referring to the election of two BJP MLAs in the recent by-election, Gaikhangam added.
Commerce and Industries Minister Govindas Konthoujam, PDA Chairman T Mangibabu, YAS Parliamentary Secretary M Prithiviraj and MLA S Bira too spoke at the political conference.
