Along with deciding to field its candidate in the upcoming Parliament election, Lok Janshakti Party, Manipur State unit has started necessary preparation for the election, State unit party president Thangkhangin Ngaihte has informed.
Addressing a press conference in this connection at Manipur Press Club here today, Ngaihte said to ensure the success of party candidate in the Parliament election, campaigning has already been started from the grassroots level and the enrolment members would continue till October 10.Any person who would like to enrol themselves as member of the party may contact the local, district and State level officials of the party, he said.
Announcing that chairman of All India Backward Block, Manipur State unit Haji Ashraf and Secretariat secretary David Haokip have joined Lok Janshakti Party, Ngaihte informed that the post of vice president and secretary (chief organisation) have been handed over to them respectively.
Moreover, joining of NPP advisor L Biren and other party leaders is definitely going tp help in strengthening the position of the party, he expressed confidence.
Party vice president and spokesperson S Shamungou, who was also present at press conference charged the existing Congress-led SPF Government with failure in maintaining law and order as well as in other administrative works.
He said his party is very concerned about the issue of territorial integrity of Manipur and the stand of the party on the issue had already been made known to other Central leaders.
Many important party leaders also attended the press conference.
