Two alleged Myanmar Nationals, arrested by the security staff of Tulihal International Airport on September 14, have been released on bail bond of Rs 70,000 each and two surety like amount, including one Government employee today by Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West .
The two alleged Myanmar Nationals, identified as Khuplampiang (21) s/o Nangzahou of Dimzang village, Tedim, Myanmar and Cing Tawi Dim (22) s/o Thangza Suan of Taham village, Myanmar, were produced before the Court by Singjamei police station with a prayer for Judicial custody remand.
On the other hand, the defense counsel of the alleged Myanmar Nationals, filed an application to release them on bail along with the residential certificates and tribal certificates issued by SDC Churachandpur, in support of the bail application filed by the defense .
After hearing both sides, the Court failed to find sufficient evidence in support of the charges levelled against the two individuals in the police prayer which mentioned that the arrested individuals could not communicate in Manipuri, Hindi and English.
The Court also mentioned that the statement recorded in the 164 CrPC of the alleged Myanmar Nationals is English .
It further passed an order to release the two individuals on bail bond of Rs 70,000 each and two surety like amount including one Government employee and also directed the individuals not to leave the State without the permission of the Court.
It may be mentioned that the two individuals were arrested at foreigner check post of Tulihal airport, while trying to board a flight to Pune via Kolkata, with fake ID cards of Mizoram natives on September 14, at around 2.15 pm.
