Mao Pastors add to CM's Relief Fund

Imphal, May 11 2020:
All the Pastors of Mao area have donated their one-month-salary which totals a sum Rs 4.2 lac to the COVID-19 Chief Minister's Relief Fund today.
Speaking to media persons at his quarters at Lamphelpat, PHED Minister Dikho said that all the 33 Church Pastors of Mao community gathered their one month salary and handed it over to the Chief Minister's Office in the presence of Mr Koda, executive secretary, Mao Baptist Church Association, finance secretary Loli and TD Minister Kayisi along with other Pastors.
Further, Dikho stated that the world is in a difficult situation now.
Many developed countries are already in a condition where their economies are collapsing.
"However, we are safer to some extent as a result of people sticking to the precautionary measures laid down by the Government," said Dikho and added that this is one reason why Manipur is in the Green Zone.
However, all need to be cautious and stick to the the precautionary measures, he added while acknowledging the contribution of Pastors in such a
difficult situation.
