241 samples test negative

Samples of 241 people who returned to the State recently by bus were tested today at JNIMS and RIMS and all of them turned out to be negative for COVID-19 .
A statement issued by the Health Department informed that 241 asymptomatic people coming back from high risk areas were tested for COVID-19 and all of them were found to be negative.
At present, 1375 people are being kept under observation at 23 quarantine centres opened in the 16 districts of the State.
Meanwhile, unloading of goods brought by either people coming back to the State by bus or transporters at improper places has worried many people.
On the other hand, sources informed that Manipuri people stranded in Punjab including Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh would be brought back by a special train on May 13, followed by another train from Bangalore on May 14.A similar special train would bring back Manipuri people stranded in Andhra Pradesh including Hyderabad on May 15 till Jiribam, said the sources.
