AJWJU celebrates 21st foundation day

Jiribam, September 23 2021: All Jiribam Working Journalists' Union (AJWJU) celebrated its 21st foundation day at the conference hall of Union's office at Babupara here on Thursday.

The programme was marked by paying of floral tributes to deceased members of the Union along with observance of a two-minute silence in their honour.

Former members of AJWJU along with families of departed members were also presented simple gifts.

Speaking as chief guest of the event, Jiribam Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha Kh Janaki encouraged the journalists to continue their work with all sincerity and unbiased manner for the development of the district.

The programme was also attended by Jiribam Municipal Council former chairperson S Santi, AJWJU president Meinam Joymangol, advisor Ngathem Biswajit and leaders of various CSOs, student bodies among others.
