MUC emerge champions of NE youth festival

Imphal, January 09 2023: The cultural team of Manipur University Culture (MUC) won the overall champions trophy in the 36th Inter University North East Youth Festival organised by Association of Indian Universities at University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya from January 4 to 8.Upon team's return from Meghalaya, the cultural team of MUC was accorded a warm reception at MCU complex, Palace Compound, here, on Monday, with the reception ceremony held in the presence of VC professor P Gunindro, deputy registrar Dr Surjit and teachers of the university.

VC professor P Gunindro said that it was the first time that the MUC team comprising 38 members took part in the festival.

Even though the organisers specified participation of 47 .

members, MUC could send only 38 due to fund constraints, he revealed, while assuring that MUC team will take part in the national level youth festival which is due to begin from February 24 .
