27th SAC meeting held at KVK, Hengbung

Senapati, January 09 2023: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Hengbung held the 27th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) Meeting at its office on Monday.

In her address, senior scientist & head of KVK Senapati Dr N Jyotsna, stated that the committee was formed to get support from all stakeholders for the welfare of the farmers so that activities of the KVK are executed in a scientific manner.

"The meeting aims to get inputs from the farmers, stakeholders and scientists and form a platform to work out plans and programmes for the farming community of the country.

The KVK centre has reached 370 villages till date," N Jyotsna said.

SAC chairman MLA Haokholet Kipgen, joint director of ICAR-Manipur Centre Dr IM Singh, deputy director of CAU-Imphal Dr Deepaknath and director of ICAR-ATARI, Zone-VII Dr AK Sinha also shared their thoughts during the meeting.

Annual progress report for the year 2022 and annual action plan for 2023 were presented through power point display by the head of the KVK.

Discussion and suggestions followed in the later part of the programme, which was also attended by official representatives of agriculture, horticulture, veterinary departments and district information office of both Senapati and Kangpokpi districts, as well as staffers of KVK, Hengbung.
