Awareness, guidance session conducted

Assam Rifles conducted an awareness lecture on medical emergencies which includes snake bite, cardiac arrest (administering CPR) and infectious diseases related to drug abuse along with a demonstration of yoga practices at S Kholen village in Churachandpur district on Friday, informed PRO IGAR (S) in a release.
The PRO further informed that the troopers also organised a guidance session on various facets of medical and physical assessment tests followed by a pre-medical drive for local youth who have cleared the Common Entrance Test (CET) of the Agniveer Entry Scheme, at Kangvai in Churachandpur district.
The session was attended by 21 young individuals who were trained by the Assam Rifles for the entrance test from 20 February 2024 to 19 April 2024 at Assam Rifles camp, Kangvai.
On the other hand, the troopers of Assam Rifles organised the quarterly "Welfare Association and Rehabilitation Board (WARS)" meeting at Modi village in Chandel district on Saturday wherein ex-servicemen and Veer Naris of Assam Rifles were invited and their grievances pertaining to pension and other emoluments were addressed followed by requisite documentation and health checkup by CMO and RMO, the PRO added.
