Voter awareness campaign held at CoA

Imphal, April 16 2024:
In a bid to promote active participation and reinforce the significance of voting, an awareness campaign themed "Nation First - Voting Must" was organised at the College of Agriculture, CAU, Imphal on Tuesday.
The campaign spearheaded by CoA in collaboration with Agrivision, Manipur, had the participation of faculties and students.
Presided over by a panel comprising CoA dean professor Indira Sarangthem, Kamal Nayan, Bhagawat Singh Rajawat and Gautam Philem, the campaign emphasised on role of voting in shaping the nation's future.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Indira underscored the importance of making informed electoral choices and discouraged the use of NOTA (None of The Above) button, while urging the students to exercise their voting rights for a robust, self-reliant and developed India.
In their speeches, Kamal Nayan and Gautam Philem stressed that as elections provide rare opportunity to elect representatives, people should exercise their rights diligently and ensure that only those who can uphold India's unity and diversity serve in the parliament.
