Blood donated, Yoga demonstration held

Showing its commitment to protect and serve into the healthcare domain, 18 troops of Assam Rifles donated blood at RIMS Hospital in sync with the observance of World Blood Donor Day.
The initiative is profoundly significant, as it not only supports the well-being of military personnel but also strengthens the bond between the armed forces and the communities they serve, PRO IGAR (S) conveyed in a release.
According to the PRO, Assam Rifles successfully organised a mass yoga session at Mantripukhri, Keithelmanbi and all Company Operating Bases, on Saturday.
The event aimed to foster physical fitness, mental well-being, and spiritual harmony among the residents was attended by 13 officers, 68 junior commissioned officers, 524 other ranks, 45 families, and 32 children.
In Ukhrul, Assam Rifles conducted a drawing competition under the theme "Yoga for Healthy Life" at Holy Spirit High School, Nungbi Knu Village on 14 June 2024 while in Kamjong district, Assam Rifles organised the "Celebration of 10th World Yoga Day" at Aishi COB on Friday, the PRO added.
