Coaching class, medical camp conducted

Imphal, August 20 2024: Assam Rifles is conducting 'Coaching Classes and Training Capsule' for the upcoming Staff Selection Commission multi-tasking staff examination and havildar recruitment rally from August 19 to October 12 at Assam Rifles' Headquarters Veng camp in Churachandpur district.

The six-week training capsule is aimed at providing theory classes as well as physical training to the aspirants from remote areas and economically-challenged backgrounds.

A total of 33 (11 women and 22 men) aspirants from Churachandpur district are attending the coaching classes cum pre-recruitment training, according to a release issued by PRO IGAR (S) .

informed that as part of its healthcare initiatives, Assam Rifles medical staff and a team of nurses examined s.enior citizens, pregnant, lactating women and children on Tuesday.

A total of 44 locals of Unopat, Thuncheng, Beruwangkhera, Julbanching, Ngamkhu and Khambathel villages in Chandel district were provided consultation and medicines.

The Assam Rifles also provided emergency medical aid to a four-year-old child from Thingkeu village, Churachandpur district on the same day.

The girl child was hurt in a fall and was taken to the Assam Rifles camp with injuries to her right ear, chin and right forearm.

The medical team at the Company Operating Base in S Khullen provided timely medical treatment, including cleaning, wound dressing, antibiotic coverage and proper medication for faster recovery, the release added.
