Students briefed on harmful effects of substance abuse

Thoubal, August 26 2024: A one day awareness programme on prevention of drug & substance abuse among children and illicit trafficking was held at Nimaichand and Keinya High School, Thoubal on Saturday.

The programme jointly organised by Zonal Education Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District Child Protection Unit and office of the SP, Thoubal had the participation of around 60 students.

Resource persons spoke on various topics like substance abuse among adolescents, awareness on prevention of drug abuse & its preventive measures, and illicit drug trafficking.

The programme was held under the aegis of Thoubal district administration.
