AR holds security meet with village authorities

Imphal, August 17 2024: Assam Rifles conducted a security meet with village authorities from Bongmol in Machi sub-division, Chandel district on Friday to strengthen cooperation between the armed forces and villagers on security and welfare matters.

The meeting was attended by 20 village authority members.

They were briefed on the present security situation, including recent incidents in Manipur.

The importance of the village authorities in promoting security awareness and encouraging community development was emphasised.

An interactive session was also held, during which the village authorities commended the armed forces for their proactive measures in enhancing security, said PRO IGAR (S) in a press release.
