Low-key Jadonang tribute event on Aug 29

Imphal, August 26 2024: Under the aegis of Zeliangrong Union (AMN), Haipou Jadonang Death Anniversary Committee (HJDAC) will observe the 93rd death anniversary of freedom fighter Haipou Jadonang at the Haipou Jadonang Memorial Park, Keishampat, here, on August 29 in a low key manner due to present unrest situation in the state.

A release issued by HJDAC informed that a blood donation programme will be con-r ducted at RIMS as a part of the tribute event.

The Committee also commended members of Khoupum Football Friendship (KFF) Association and Nungba Luangreang Chamc Nac Phwam, Imphal for cleaning up the memorial park ahead of the commemorative function and urged the people to light candle at dusk in their respective homes on the day of the observance as a mark of respect to the martyr.
