Students briefed on menace of tobacco use

Noney, November 27 2024: As part of the 'Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign and Tobacco-Free Educational Institutions 2.0', aimed at reducing tobacco Usage and promote healthy lifestyles, the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) Unit of Noney District Health Society, in collaboration with Hills Farmer Producer Co-operative Society Limited, conducted a school awareness programme on tobacco.

The event took place on Wednesday at Dreamy Academy International, Khoupum, Noney district, with Dr Shangamlung Kamei, district nodal officer NTCP, as the resource person.

A total of 150 students participated in the programme.

A similar awareness session was also held the previous day at Tazei Public High School, Khoupum.
