Lembi Leima, Ouraiyu selected for intn'l film fests

Imphal, August 17 2024: Manipuri film Lembi Leima has been officially selected as one the finalists of the 4th Empty Space International Short Film Festival, Pune and the final event will be held this September.

Produced by Bijou Thaangjam under the Cicada Film Production, the film's star cast includes Bala Hijam Ningthoujam in the lead.

The film has already garnered 45 awards and 15 nominations from National and International Film festivals.

Also, the film on Children Social awareness Campaign, "Ouraiyu-Send one more child back to school" got into the final line up for screening at Chennai World Film Festival to be held on October 4 .

The film is directed by Naoton and produced by Bijou Thaangjam.

This film has also already won multiple awards and through the film, more than 100 children from IDPs have been able to get back to school.
