Jyotin Waikhom censures Thangmeiband MLA

Imphal, September 23 2021: BJP executive member Jyotin Waikhom has asked Thangmeiband MLA Kh Joykisan to furnish whitepaper on the Rs 2 crore annual local area development fund allocated for development of the constituency.

He was attending a rice distribution programme under Seva aur Samarpan Abhiyan organised as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday by BJP Thangmeiband Mandal at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Jyotin questioned what welfare initiatives have been taken up by the MLA for the constituency other than misappropriating PDS rice and mocked at the MLA for changing political parties during every election.

He further accused the MLA of providing PDS rice to his workers by swindling them from the actual beneficiaries and further questioned failure of the MLA to produce his share after proposing all the MLAs to contribute Rs 50 lakh each for fighting Covid-19 .

Jyotin also demanded the MLA to bring out a whitepaper on the utilisation of his local area development fund.

Regarding an earlier report of the MLA joining BJP, which TAKDO refuted, Jyotin said that TAKDO made the statement to save the MLA's face after BJP refused to accept the MLA into the party.

He then called upon the people of the constituency to support him and enjoy the taste of having a representative in the ruling party while adding that BJP will definitely give the party's ticket only to the active member of the party.
