Imphal, September 06 2022: Testifying a significant improvement in the Covid-19 situation in the State, today's positivity rate or TPR has dropped to 0.7 per cent.

Out of 286 samples tested during the last 24 hours, only two were confirmed positive and they are residents of Imphal West and Churachandpur.

With no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 2148 .

Meanwhile, 10 Covid-19 positive people were discharged today after completion of surveillance.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the State is 1,39,744 (general population 1,34,724 and Central security personnel 5,020) .

This figure includes 54 active cases, all from general population and 1,37,542 recovered cases (general population 1,32,529 and Central security personnel 5,013) .

The recovery rate as on Tuesday is 98.42 per cent.

Taking into account 1633 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 31,93,109 (first dose 16,34,176, second dose 13,08,803 and precautionary dose 2,50,130) .

Till Monday, 62.35 per cent of the State's total eligible population had been vaccinated with the first dose of Covid vaccine while 54.53 per cent has received both the first and second doses.
