Imphal, July 08:
The Manipuri Students Federation (MSF) today said that it has resolved to intensify it's agitation against the NSCN (IM) ceasefire extension as the Centre has failed to give a qualified response to the people's demands.
In a statement, the MSF said that it has been waiting for a word from today's meeting of State MPs, MLAs and central leaders.
However as no positive response has been forthcoming, it will start a step for rooting out political parties and politicians from today, it said urging the people to support it.
MSF also castigated the State Left parties for throwing weight to the Left MPs' visit to assess the State situation.
The student body charged that the NSCN (IM) has diverted the real freedom movement of the Nagas and said that the pioneers of the movement would not be happy with what is turning out now.
The MSF said that history has proved that numberless revolutionary movements had failed due to simple errors.
The NSCN (IM) move to grab other's land will not succeed, it said.
Questioning the rationale behind Manipur based United Naga Council's opposition to the people's resolve to save the State territory and the protest over the extension of the NSCN (IM) ceasefire to Manipur, the MSF also asked what relation the UNC has with NSCN (IM).
The statement also criticized the UNC for making false charges that the Manipuri Nagas' stand for preserving the territorial integrity is instigated by the valley people.
It also appealed to the UNC not to harbor such feelings.
Charging the NSCN (IM) that it had organized forced rallies and force people to vote for their candidates in elections, the student body said that several groups having their own cultural identities, but had been merged to Naga community by the NSCN (IM) have now moved out of its shackles.
The MSF further urged the people not to make monetary contribution to the Naga outfit saying the outfit has been using the money to the forming of Greater Nagaland.
Meanwhile, the International Peace and Social Advancement has expressed grave concern that NSCN (IM) and its frontal organizations were trying to blemish the movement for saving the State territory while the movement itself is progressing without any communal hues.
In a statement, the organization has refuted the charges published by president of the Rongmei Naga Union in a Nagaland daily that they have taken shelter in Dimapur as they had been driven out by the ongoing strike in Manipur.
