Kakching, June 24 2024:
Condemning the failure to take appropriate action against Kuki narco-terrorists who are trying to create upheaval in Manipur despite heavy deployment of security teams, local meira paibis took out a torch rally (meira rally) in Sekmaijin, Kakching Khunou and Umathel areas under Kakching district on Sunday evening.
The rallyists shouted slogans including 'Stop deployment of central forces in valley', 'eradicate Kuki narco-terrorists', 'Will not allow disruption of Manipur' among others.
Speaking on the sidelines, a meira paibi activist expressed serious resentment that the once peaceful Manipur is facing unprecedented violence owing to administrative leniency to Kuki narco-terrorists since May 3, 2023.She also asserted that the people will never allow central forces to hound and round up youth who volunteered to defend their villagers from the atrocities of Kuki narco-terrorists.
They are prepared to launch intense protest if the youth are apprehended by the central forces, she added.
