Imphal, September 23 2021: Contending that representatives are elected so as to take care of the people and resolve all inconveniences, Patsoi AC MLA Ak Mirabai has said that she will not remain ignorant when the people are suffering.

Patsoi Block Congress Committee (PBCC) on Thursday distributed CMHT cards to around 100 beneficiaries during a function held at the Taobungkhok residence of MLA Ak Mirabai.

Speaking as the chief guest, Mirabai likened CMHT cards to blessings for those living below poverty line.

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected every stratum of the society in the country, and affected the health and financial stability of the people.

Although the situation has improved considerably in the state, the future is still uncertain, she remarked.

The most affected have been daily wage earners, she said and conveyed that she has been extending assistance to all concerned to the best of her abilities, while asserting that she will never be ignorant when it comes to the suffering of the people.

Regarding distribution of the CMHT cards, the MLA hoped that the cards would help alleviate the sufferings of those affected especially the poor when it comes to their healthcare.

She observed that many CMHT card holders have zero knowledge of how to utilise the cards and thus, advised them to show their cards at the CMHT counters set up at the empanelled hospitals.

The people assigned at the counters will not only explain about the usage but also aid them in the process, she conveyed.

Mirabai further informed that anyone in need of ambulance service can avail the same by contacting the helpline number provided on the back of the CMHT cards.

She then went on to say that she will continue to do all that is necessary for the development of the constituency as its elected representative and thus, appealed to the people to extend their support in this regard.
