Lansana shortlisted for Young Talent Artistes Award

Imphal, August 17 2024: Manipuri folk singer Thokchom Lansana Chanu has been shortlisted for Young Talent Artistes Award 2022-23 by North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) .

In release, Anji Cultural Academy, Kongba Shoudongpung congratulated Th Lansana, who is a singer of the Academy, on being selected for the Award.

Lansana is daughter of Th Thouyangba Meitei and Th (o) Manileima of Kongba Laishram Leikai.

She had earlier represented India at the ABU Radio Song Festival held in Beijing, China in 2016 .

The Young Talent Artistes Award is a scheme implemented through Zonal Cultural Centres by Union Ministry of Agriculture.

Out of 125 applications submitted for the Award by member states for 2022-23, 17 applicants including Th Lansana have been selected.
