3D printed gun, arms, ammos recovered

Security forces conducted search and combing operations in different districts leading to recovery of large cache of arms, ammunition, and explosive devices including a 3D printed gun (FGC-9 MK-II) .
The operations involving district police, Assam Rifles (AR), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Sikh Regiment targeted areas with suspected militant activities.
The 3D printed gun was recovered along with seven rounds, two locally made mortar devices, one single-barrel gun, a bomb for the mortar device, and two Baofeng radio sets by Assam Rifles during operations at Songkhom and Gunjil villages in Chandel district on October 22.The FGC-9 MK-II 9 mm automatic pistol is a 3D-printable, semi-automatic, pistol-calibre carbine.
The firearm was first designed and manufactured between 2018 and 2020 by Jacob Duygu, a Kurdish German gun designer.
As of 2024, the FGC-9 is, by far, the world's most common 3-D printed gun, used by insurgents, militia members, terrorists, and drug traffickers in at least 15 countries.
The automatic pistol along with its Stingray variants are widely used by anti-Junta forces in neighbouring Myanmar.
On Friday, search operation was carried out in the general areas of Uyung Makhong, Gelmon, and high canal bordering Churachandpur district, led by Bishnupur district police in coordination with CRPF units A-32 and E-08, and 5 Sikh Regiment.
During the three- hour operation, the joint team recovered an SLR 7.63 mm rifle with magazine, two Baofeng WT handheld radio sets, six HE 36 grenades, four hand grenade arming rings, two tear gas grenades, and three anti-riot stinger grenades (VRISHCAK).
Simultaneously, combing operation carried out in Shantipur Makha Leikai under Wangoi police station in Imphal West district, by district police and 33 Assam Rifles, led to the recovery of one single-barrel gun, two locally made 9 mm pistols with magazines, one 7.62 LMG magazine, four rounds of 9 mm ammunition, 31 casings of 5.56 mm ammunition, 10 casings of 7.62 mm ammunition, three M-67 hand grenades with detonators, a tube launching device, and two tear smoke shells.
On Thursday, security forces recovered one 9 mm SMG carbine with magazine, a Pum-pi gun/RL, two SMG carbine magazines, one 36 HE hand grenade with arming ring, 13 rounds, one detonator, two tear smoke shell soft nose grenades, a dye marker grenade, and an anti-riot 38 mm rubber bullet device, along with two Baofeng radio from B Phainom village.
A separate raid in Leirong Vaiphei village in Imphal East district led to the recovery of four 36 hand grenades, a detonator, a 9 mm pistol with magazine, a .32 pistol sans magazine, a wireless radio set with charger, 30 rounds, 31 blank cartridges, 2.5 kg explosive device encased in a pipe, a 303 rifle without magazine, a 2-inch mortar, a 12-bore double barrel gun, and a Pumpi gun.
Additionally, on Thursday, security forces detained one Lungjanang Thiumal (56) at the T Khullen check post in Senapati district, subsequently recovering nine packets of 4.8 mm SBBL pellets, plastic cartridges, and a four-wheeler vehicle on checking of the individual.
