Senior RSS leader Meidhe passes away at 85

Imphal, August 17 2024: Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Thongbam Meidhe Singh, also known as Oja Meidhe, passed away on August 14, at the age of 85.A respected figure in the RSS, Meidhe Singh was known for his unwavering commitment and leadership, holding various key positions including Nagar Sanghchalak and Sanghchalak of the Imphal Vibhag.

A condolence meeting was held at Seva Bharati Manipur's Boudhik Hall, where RSS members paid tribute to his memory.

Meidhe Singh, who graduated from DM College in 1964, played a pivotal role in strengthening RSS in the state and also served as the secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Manipur Unit.

He retired as the head master of Bhairodan Hindi High School in 2020 and was instrumental in founding the Siksha Vikas Samiti Manipur and establishing Bal Vidya Mandir School in Imphal.
