Manipuri film CDs burnt in Tamenglong

Tamenglong, December 28 2012:
Zeliangrong Youth Front, Tamenglong Zone today burned the CDs of Manipuri films at the heart of Tamenglong town as part of intensifying the 72 hours bandh imposed by United Naga Council.
All shops and markets, government offices and schools remained shut down for the second day today.
Apart from lack of essential commodities, diesel and petrol stock have dried in Tamenglong town.
The 72-hour total bandh is being supported by Zeliangrong Youth Front and Zeliangrong Students' Union Manipur.

Meanwhile, Zeliangrong Youth Front, Tamenglong zone has also appealed to the people of Tamenglong not to watch Manipuri video and music CDs/cassettes, dramas and leelas.
The spokesman of the Front said that search for the CDs would continue and anybody who is found selling Manipuri CDs would be imposed a fine Rs.500 per CD .
