Governor, CPI (M) condole Dr Borajao

Imphal, December 06 2011: Governor Gurbachan Jagat has expressed condolence over the demise of MLA of Sekmai A/C Dr H Borajao, who passed away in the early hours of December 4 .

In a condolence message addressed to Heikham Ongbi Shantanu Devi, wife of the late MLA, Gurbachan said, "It was with deep pain and shock that I learnt about the sudden and untimely demise of your husband Dr Heikham Borajao Singh, Hon'ble MLA in the early hours of 4th December" .

The Governor went on to say, "I remember him as a soft spoken and mild person whose love and concern for his Constituency is well known.

A person of great integrity, his untimely demise has left an irreparable void in his Constituency Sekmai in particular and Manipur at large, which will be difficult to fill up" .

Hoping that the bereaved family members will have the strength to sustain during this period of extreme tragedy, Gurbachan also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

The CPI (M) has also condoled the death of Dr Borajao.

A condolence meeting of the party was held today during which all the members present observed two minutes silence as mark of respect to the departed soul and prayed for its peaceful repose heaven, according to a statement issued by state Secretariat member of the party Yumnam Ratan.

CPI (M) also shared in the loss of the bereaved family members and people of Sekmai Assembly Constituency.
