Skill training prog for State women begins at Hindu College

A Manipur Government ini-tiative titled "Skill Training Program in Fragrance Formulations for Wellness Products" was kicked off at Hindu College, University of Delhi today in the presence of Chief Secretary Vineet Joshi.
Thirty women from Manipur, including 15 internally displaced persons from relief camps will undergo the intensive three-week training programme.
Notably, the training program was organised by Hindu College in partnership with Ultra International Ltd and CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow, under the men-torship of the Supreme Court appointed committee, headed by Justice Gita Mittal.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mercina Panmei, IAS, Staff Officer to the Chief Secretary as the guest of honour.

Professor Reena Jain, Vice Principal of Hindu College, Professor Anju Sri-vastava, Principal of Hindu College as well as faculty members and students of Hindu college were in attendance.
Speaking as the chief guest, Dr Vineet Joshi encouraged the girls to maxi- mize this chance to expand their knowledge and work towards self-sustainability.
He further stated that the training is more than just acquiring skills but also a doorway to a brighter future for many.
The hands-on training will include the extraction of essential oil from lime/orange peel, extraction of oil from clove buds, soap making, and the preparation of talcum powder, shampoo and hand sanitizer.
Upon completion of their training at Hindu College, the State Government of Manipur will further enhance their skills by collaborating with the MSME (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) Technology Centre in Imphal.
