Imphal, December 05 2015 :
As per a decision taken in its presidential council meeting held today, All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) has informed all private schools located in the hills under the jurisdiction of the State and schools run by tribals in the valley to withhold submission of Class X Exa-mination forms to BSEM, last date of which is December 16 .
This step is being taken on account of the State Government's apathy to the demand of the ANSAM and various tribal students' bodies for revocation of the Government order of March 2013 which removed Additional English from the scheme of study in IX and X Standards under the State Board, said a statement issued by the informa- tion and publicity secretary (i/c) of ANSAM, James Inka.
"We are well informed of the possible consequences of this extreme decision which has been taken after extensive discussion with all stake-holders and with the objective of ensuring justice for all the tribal students in the State," it said.
It has also been decided to resort to democratic forms of protest if the Government of Manipur fails to revoke the said order dated March 11, 2013 on or before December 10, 2015, the statement said.
