Imphal, June 10 2013:
Taking a dig at "self-praise" of Congress Party, Opposition Leader and MLA of Oinam Assembly Constituency Dr I Ibohalbi has said that there is not even a single project in the State which has been completed by the Congress government.
He was addressing media persons on the sideline of inauguration of a community pond at Oinam Nongthombam Leikai.
MLA Ibohalbi reacted strongly to the recent remark made by Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam regarding the diminishing role of Opposition Parties in the State.
He further said that the Congress Party was simply babbling at its political conferences without any point for the welfare and development of the State.
42 MLAs of the Congress Party would not be allowed to do whatever they like in presence of the Opposition Parties, Ibohalbi averred.
He also demanded the State government to give clarification on matters related to ILP System, street vendors, Kabo Leikai eviction, bandh called by UNC, non-payment of pensions, shortage of fertilizers and sudden cancellation of State PMT.
